Construction start
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev launched the plant's construction by laying a memorial capsule.

Presidential decree
By a decree of the President of Uzbekistan, a major investment project, 'Construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant', with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons of cold-rolled steel, was initiated.
2018
Visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site. He reviewed the progress of construction and noted the plant's importance for the country's economy and for training specialists.

Cooperation agreement with Danieli
An agreement was signed in Tashkent with the world's leading equipment supplier — Italy's Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. Supply of equipment worth 75 million euros to the most modern quality standards.

Memorandum with NUST MISIS
A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in the fields of personnel training, joint research programs and the exchange of innovative technologies.

Visit of Russia's Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade A. V. Gruzdev
As part of the International Investment Forum, the site was visited by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, A. V. Gruzdev. Particular attention was paid to procuring equipment and services from Russian suppliers.

TMZ production launched
A landmark event for the Republic's metallurgical industry: President of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev launched the start of production at the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant.
