TMZ — a green enterprise

Danieli (Italy) equipment makes it possible to run production using zero-waste cycle technologies, minimizing the impact on the environment. TMZ is one of the most environmentally clean metallurgical enterprises in Uzbekistan and the CIS.

Over its entire period of operation, the plant has not allowed a single exceedance of maximum-permissible-emission norms. TMZ conducts quarterly environmental monitoring of emission measurements into the atmosphere.

Automatic atmospheric-air monitoring station

An IQAir automatic air-monitoring station is installed at the plant. Real-time air-quality data is displayed in the AirVisual mobile app.

The readings are integrated into Uzbekistan's unified database and international information systems — this makes it possible to respond promptly to any changes and take improvement measures.

Gas-cleaning system without equal

The cleaning filters purify the generated harmful substances by 99%, significantly reducing emissions into the atmosphere. The installed gas-cleaning system has virtually no equal.

The zero-discharge water-treatment plant eliminates pollution of air, water and soil. Few enterprises in the world can afford water-treatment technology of this level in metallurgy. After all stages, industrial effluents are purified to drinking-water quality.

The first green-energy project — installing solar panels — has been launched. Using 'clean energy' reduces the load on the environment and production costs.

12 500trees and shrubs already planted

12,500 trees and shrubs have been planted on the plant's territory and the adjacent zone. In spring 2024, planting of another 1,500 saplings is planned.

Safe waste management

Generation and sorting

Waste is processed and sorted at all stages — from generation to removal from the site.

Reuse

Paint-and-varnish drums are handed over to third-party organizations, wooden pallets — for own needs.

Recycling

Ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste is sent for recycling; equipment for processing zinc waste is planned.
