In April 2017, JV LLC “Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi” was initiated with the participation of the Reconstruction and Development Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign investors to implement the investment project “Construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant”. The factory has become one of the largest and most modern industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The main goal was to provide the local market with high quality steel production enabled to compete with steel manufacturers worldwide. In addition, such an import substitution allows local manufacturers in construction industry and other fields to reduce the costs and prices significantly.

To provide steel products consumer market with high quality import-substituting products, able to compete with manufacturers from near and far abroad countries. Therefore, this provision will allow domestic producers of construction, industrial and other industries to significantly reduce their costs and prices.

EXTERNAL UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
220 kV overhead power line with a total length of 46 km was constructed, as well as the Sergeli 220/110/10 kV and the Metallzavod 110/10 kV substations supplied the TMP with power.
5.6 km of railway tracks with adjacency to the internal railways of TMP was constructed
CLOSED HORIZONTAL DRAINAGE SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION
Closed horizontal drainage structure of 2.55 km long with the outlet into the open Sergeli collector was constructed
FIRE STATION FOR TMP MAINTENANCE
Fire station for fire safety of TMP was built.
CONSTRUCTION OF ACCESS ROADS
Two access roads of 200 linear meters was constructed.
EXTERNAL GAS SUPPLY
The construction of the external route of the gas pipeline with a length of 9.2 km was completed, gas was supplied to gas distribution points and to the gas-consuming process equipment of the plant
