Start of construction

On February 3, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, officially launched the construction by laying the foundation capsule.

Presidential Decree

On April 7, 2017, by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan, a major investment project was initiated — "Construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant" with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of cold-rolled metal products.

Visit by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On August 29, 2018, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the construction site. He reviewed the progress of the construction, emphasized the importance of the plant for the country’s economy, and highlighted the need to pay special attention to the training of specialists for the enterprise.

Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony

On November 14, 2018, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held in Tashkent with one of the world’s leading equipment suppliers — the Italian company Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. The Italian side will supply equipment worth 75 million euros to the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant. The equipment will meet the most modern requirements and international quality standards.

Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Enterprises

On May 13, 2019, a memorandum of cooperation was signed at the construction site between the enterprise and the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (NIITU “MISIS”) in the field of personnel training. According to this document, the parties will carry out joint research programs, projects for the creation and development of high-tech and resource-saving technologies, exchange scientific and technical information, innovative technologies, and specialists for industrial developments, as well as perform research, experimental design, and technological work.

Visit of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, A.V. Gruzdev

On August 28, 2019, within the framework of the International Investment Forum, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, A.V. Gruzdev, visited the construction site. During the implementation of the investment project "Construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant," special attention is being given by the customer and the general contractor to the procurement of equipment, materials, works, and services from Russian suppliers/manufacturers.

The start of operations at the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant (TMZ) has been launched.

December 4, 2020, became a landmark event for the metallurgical industry of our Republic. On this day, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, launched the production at the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant.
